Editorial

This issue marks not only our 2nd birthday but the publication of our first book. The subject could not be more appropriate. "Alice's Album" is dedicated to the remarkable lady after whom the Longstaff Collection was named and tells a truly unique story spanning most of the 20th century.

There will be a party to launch the book at the Arts Festival Shop, Albert Street, Hebden Bridge, on Friday, November 12, to which you are all cordially invited. And the other good news is that the Alice Longstaff Gallery Collection will be holding an exhibition at the Artsmill for six weeks from December 6.

The setting in Linden Mill, Hebden Bridge, could not be more spectacular and we are thrilled that the photographs will be on display, reviving a tradition that we know many of you have missed. More details in our next issue.
